Psychological testing/evaluation is a common component of the recruitment process and is often utilised to assist in defining the make up of an individual (or individuals) in the selection process or to further assist in decision making related to two or more high quality candidates.

Psychological testing aims to address three basic questions:

  1. what is the individual capable of doing?
  2. what will he/she want to do? and
  3. how will he/she go about doing it?

These questions are addressed by utilising a tailored testing regime which is applicable to the particular circumstance and situation. Testing batteries may include measures of critical thinking ability, intelligence, occupational interests, work aspect preferences and personality profiling. Additional and/or alternate tests can include measures of verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning.

In addition to the comprehensive psychological testing regime, an evaluation may incorporate objective and subjective findings which arise out of an interview.

Our executive recruiters are trained to advise on the composition of the psychometric testing program for each purpose. We can also tailor reports to clients’ specific requirements.
